Privacy
The public charts are built from public platform information. SHHC only asks for additional information where it is needed to review a submitted release or investigate a factual correction.
Track submissions
A track submission can include artist and release information, public platform URLs, a claimed Scottish connection, supporting evidence, the submitter's relationship to the release and an optional contact email. Submissions are stored in a private SHHC review queue so eligibility decisions and baseline status can be audited.
Correction reports
A correction report can include the issue being reported, relevant public URLs or evidence, a factual explanation and an optional contact email. Reports are stored in the same private operational queue while they are investigated and may be retained as part of the correction audit record.
Contact email
Email is optional. If provided, it is used only for SHHC submission or correction follow-up. It is not published as part of the chart. To request that an optional contact email be corrected or removed from an SHHC review record, use the Report an issue page and include the relevant SHHC submission/report reference.
Technical data
SHHC does not deliberately add an IP address to its submission or correction records. The website's hosting, security and infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical logs as part of operating their services.
Public sources
Eligibility evidence and chart measurements can link to or record facts already available publicly on YouTube, SoundCloud, artist/label pages, interviews and other relevant public sources. SHHC does not treat a public platform counter as private submission data.
